Giving Communities an Olympic voice
Welcome Songs is a major new music project bringing communities across the UK together for a celebration in song of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
To mark the London 2012 Games, British folk superstar Eliza Carthy and award-winning vocal ensemble I Fagiolini will devise a new choral work to commend the Olympic and Paralympic legacy. Uniting communities from areas with links to the historic and modern Olympic Games, the songs will be performed across the country, including a live stage performance in Weymouth just before the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
Warm up your vocal chords and get involved! www.dartington.org/WelcomeSongs
Produced by The Dartington Hall Trust; supported by South West Music School, Drake Music and Coastal Voices. Thanks to Arts Council England and Weymouth Council.
